Now in our third week at the Rauschenberg Residency, Phantom Limb says goodbye to our fabulous fabricators as we wrap up the initial stages of production. Over the past two weeks we’ve made dwarf marionettes, animal masks, handmade paper, and much more. Now it’s time to switch gears and say hello to our new performers!

A rainy week here in Captiva makes for a very productive couple of days. The crew is busy at work making puppets, masks and costumes, experimenting with fiber-optics, and much more!

Here at the Rauschenberg Residency in Captiva, Florida— an amazing place to be and produce art! While here, I’ll be directing a short documentary on Phantom Limb’s process in creating their newest piece, Memory Rings.

Phantom Limb’s first week at the Rauschenberg Residency in beautiful Captiva, Florida! Phantom Limb and their collaborators will be at the foundation for the next month working on the up and coming production of Memory Rings, a performance revolving around the life and times of the world’s oldest living tree.
